September is here and for many people that means back to school. We decided in honour of this, to present Bobby Orr's Northeastern University Citation. This Honourary Doctorate, presented to Bobby in 1984, states:
"Your skill on the ice as a Boston Bruin is legendary. Your extraordinary speed and daring have lifted Boston Garden fans to euphoria, your teammates to higher standards of professional hockey, and your opposition to undreamed of challenges. The finesse and devotion to play which you displayed so brilliantly as a Bruin have also become your trademark in your business ventures and in your training of young athletes today.
Because we held dear your legacy of athletic accomplishment and your embodiment of good sportsmanship at its very best, Northeastern University is proud to present to you the honorary degree, Doctor of Humanities."
