Parry Sound Shamrocks Jerseys
Bobby Orr began skating at the age of four and was soon involved with the local minor hockey club. Like his father, Bobby began playing forward, but was encouraged to play defense by his coach. He was a shining young athlete and quickly became known for his talent on the ice.Long before the celebrated “Number 4” jersey became a piece of hockey history, Bobby Orr could be seen wearing both #2 and #10 in his early days as a green and white Parry Sound Shamrocks player. Both of these jerseys are on display in the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame’s “The Beginning” display case which showcases Bobby Orr’s childhood growing up in the small, Northern Ontario town.
