In 'The Hometown Zone' and to the left of the diorama you will
find a showcase displaying Bobby Orr childhood photos and other
artifacts representing Parry Sound's Hockey Heritage.
A video presentation provides the backdrop to a diorama
depicting young aspiring hockey players lacing up their skates
prior to joining their friends on the frozen Seguin River.
A projection of children skating on the river fades to NHL
footage of Bobby Orr with the Boston Bruins. After
crossing the threshold to enter the Hall you will hear the fans
sitting on the balcony over the diorama let out a cheer.
Almost opposite the diorama is a large-scale map of Parry
Sound, Bobby Orr's Hometown, highlighting the points of
interest and of special importance to Bobby Orr fans and others
alike.
Within the Hometown Zone are two additional showcases. The
first records the exploits of current and past champions on the
touch-screen computer base. The second showcase celebrates
Bobby Orr's time with the Oshawa Generals and his precedent
setting signing with the Boston Bruins.
